We’ve noticed, over time – probably because we’re surrrounded by artists, and architects, and builders, and people who make things – that a lot of us – not quite as many as the “foodies” – obsess about hardware stores, art supply stores, glaziers, skilled tradespeople and suppliers. So we’re going to start sharing our favorites – starting with Midwood Lumber – whose prices are good, and who were patient and helpful with me the other day when I ended up buying no more than a 2×4. They’re great with consumer trade off the street – although their other identity is, it seems, as a large-scale supplier of doors and stairs.
